This might come as a shock to you but – there is no truth in right and wrong. Judging actions, things and people in this way causes conflict, untold many challenges, leads to separation and even war. ‘So what if there was no right and wrong?’ asks Tanya Curtis, Senior Behaviour Specialist and founding director of FABIC Behaviour Specialist Centre. And further: ‘What if these situations were just learning opportunities?’
What would it look like if we didn’t make the world about determining right from wrong but about the learning on offer for everyone? Labelling somebody as right or wrong creates separation, and separation is pure evil. Whereas, in a world without separation, all we’d be left with are opportunities to learn from whatever life presents in our own classroom of life. When people are not busy trying to prove who is right and who is wrong we would have a different world, with much less conflict and definitely fewer arguments.
Saying, ‘I’m right, you’re wrong” or ‘I’m wrong, you’re right’ makes people either feel down and even submissive and contracted or can lead to being arrogant and assuming the moral high ground. There is absolutely no platform of equality. And thus, life should never be about who’s right and who’s wrong or what’s right and what’s wrong. Rather, it should be about the learning that is on offer for each and every person in any situation.
