Another way of talking about attachment is how we put projections on people and/or life, on how things and people should and need to be, how we demand and expect them to be so that they fit our pictures, ideals and preconceived ideas.
Tanya Curtis, Senior Behaviour Specialist and founding director of FABIC Behaviour Specialist Centre, explains that these attachments and projections come in varying intensity, from relative mild to extreme where we cannot see life any other way except for the way we are expecting, demanding, wanting and projecting life to be.
Tanya further states that the opposite of projections is the willingness to welcome and learn from what life presents and embrace every moment and the life lesson on offer.
