How can I stay focused?

Another word for staying focused is presence, being present. But what does that mean and is it hard?

Tanya Curtis, Senior Behaviour Specialist and founding director of FABIC Behaviour Specialist Centre, explains that improving focus is truly simple; all it takes is for our mind and our body to be present and engaged in whatever is happening at the time, in sync and in tune with what is in front of us, be that a conversation, an email, cooking dinner or schoolwork.

And likewise if you are interested in improving concentration – again, all it takes is our body and mind to be fully focused rather than the body being there but the mind being elsewhere, in another place (thinking about what needs to be done next or where to go on holiday, for example) or being in another time zone (past or future) and not in the present.
